About this data

Last.fm logs every track my player scrobbles, across any app or device — the longer, noisier history. Can lag a few minutes behind, or miss a track entirely if a scrobble fails to fire.

Spotify is read straight from its own account state — real-time playback position, no scrobble lag. The tradeoff: Spotify only exposes the last 50 plays and a rolling ~4-week "top items" window, so this drifts from Last.fm's longer, all-source history rather than agreeing with it.
